DIY Fir Honey Body Scrub

It’s that time of the year again —  the season when we break out our flip-flops and shorts from out of boxes and underneath beds, sweep off the dust bunnies and proudly bare our skin once more. I usually rejoice when I get to strip away winter’s layers and pare down my wardrobe to summer basics but unfortunately this year my skin is in need of some serious summer TLC. So, off to my DIY kitchen I went, armed with my favorite ingredients to exfoliate my dry skin. After slathering on this clean concoction, I was left with soft, glowing skin that smelled divine! I loved that instead of environmentally damaging microbeads, this mix is all natural and non-toxic. This scrub can be used anywhere you need some gentle buffing, from face to feet. There’s no better time to try your hand at this DIY homage to green beauty!

Mix all ingredients together in whatever quantities you see fit — I make mine with equal parts of each! Apply the mix on warm, slightly damp skin and exfoliate in a circular motion (don’t press too hard)! You can allow the mix to sit on your skin for five minutes so the ingredients can do their work, then rinse off well with warm water and pat dry. Voila!
