Raw Honey Baklava
Ingredients:
- 1/2 package of phyllo dough, thawed
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup hemp seeds
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3/4 cup melted butter or coconut oil
- 1 cup Wedderspoon Raw Fir Honey
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Grease a 13×9 or 9×9 baking pan
- Melt half the butter/oil in saucepan
- Lay one piece of phyllo down to fit in the pan
- Brush melted butter/oil on top
- Layer another piece of dough on top. Repeat butter
- Sprinkle 1/3 of the walnuts and hemp seeds across buttered dough, then sprinkle cinnamon on top
- Layer another piece of dough and more butter
- Repeat the nut layers two more times
- Repeat another two layers of just dough and butter
- Use a sharp knife and cute a diamond pattern into the dough
- Bake for 35-45 minutes, until golden brown
- While baking, mix remaining melted butter with fir Wedderspoon Raw Fir Honey and vanilla
- When the Baklava comes out of the oven, slowly drizzle this honey butter mixture on top, allow to absorb and cool. Enjoy!
