What is Manuka Honey?

Manuka Honey is a unique honey that comes from the Manuka flower nectar gathered by the bees in New Zealand. Manuka (or mānuka) is a Māori word that refers to the flower that grows on both New Zealand’s North and South Islands. The Manuka shrub has a very short annual bloom, which means that Manuka Honey is rare and highly sought after. Over 60 different compounds have been isolated from Manuka nectar, including antioxidants and polyphenols. Moreover, its multitude of uses makes Manuka Honey a multitasking superfood.

Are the lollipops organic?

Yes! Our lollipops are organic, made with clean ingredients and a whole lot of Mānuka goodness (tasty, feel-good, and full of brightness).

Who certifies the organic ingredients?

Our organic apples from New Zealand are certified to AsureQuality Organic Standard V7 and the USDA National Organic Program (NOP). Double-checked, officially approved, and good to go.

How is it USDA organic if from New Zealand?

USDA Organic standards apply to products sold in the U.S., no matter where they’re grown. Our New Zealand–sourced Mānuka honey is independently certified to meet USDA Organic requirements, even though it’s produced abroad. Different countries have different certifying bodies, but the standards it meets are USDA-approved.

Why isn't all your Manuka Organic?

Organic Mānuka is incredibly rare. It can only be harvested from remote mountain regions in New Zealand’s South Island, where certified organic land is limited. While Wedderspoon is the first (and only) brand to offer Organic Mānuka, there simply isn’t enough terrain for all Mānuka to be organic.

Shipping & Returns

We’re confident our honey will bring plenty of brightness to your day. But if something doesn’t quite hit the sweet spot, we’re here to help. Unused, re-sellable items in their original packaging may be returned within 30 days of receiving your order, along with your original Wedderspoon receipt. Once we’ve received your return back at the hive, we’ll issue a refund to your original payment method, minus shipping costs and a 10% restocking fee.

We work with real, raw ingredients which means that natural batch variations can happen (color, texture, and taste - that’s just nature being nature). For this reason, we do not offer refunds for natural batch variations.

Once your order is prepped for its journey, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details (check your spam or junk folder - sometimes our emails like to wander outside the hive). Your tracking link includes delivery updates, an estimated arrival date, and photo confirmation from the carrier (if it's not too bright for the camera). Refunds are issued using the same payment method you used at checkout (so Visa refunds go right back to Visa - you get the picture). Please note that we cannot accept returns or exchanges on used or damaged items. All qualifying returns must be in their original packaging and in re-sellable condition.

Orders cannot be canceled or revised once placed, and we’re unable to ship to PO Boxes (that’s just how the bees work). If your order isn’t exactly what you hoped for, simply check out our returns policy or send us a note at info@wedderspoon.com, and we’ll make things right.
