What's In My Purse - Winter Edition

There are two kinds of people in this world. Those who leave the house with just their phone and keys, and those that carry the world in their purse! Your purse contents likely change by season, and, depending on where you are going. You can never be too prepared though, so read on to find out what items we suggest keeping in your purse!

According to Google, the average woman's purse weighs a bit over six pounds. How does your purse compare to this?! Women, and moms especially, are notoriously known for having a purse filled with items, from receipts to bandaids, extra socks, medicine, makeup, snacks, and all sorts of other items!

In fact, it can be fun to compare with friends to see who has the craziest items in their purse! But, all jokes aside, it's great to keep your purse well-stocked with essentials, especially if you're on the go often.

What do you keep in your purse? Does it change seasonally? Keep reading to see what we suggest you keep on hand in your purse so that you're prepared for a variety of situations.

Daily Vitamin

We know it's easy to forget to take your morning regimen of medicine and vitamins in the morning, which is why it can be handy to keep them with you in your purse! This is especially true for things that need to be taken more than once throughout the day, or, need to be taken with food. Having them on-hand in your purse means that regardless of where you are, you have them with you! Though most medications and vitamins come in large bottles, you can easily place a week or so's worth in a smaller container or baggy to store in your purse. Keep your favorite flavor of Wedderspoon Manuka Honey Immunity Gummies in your purse to ensure you're getting your daily immune system boost everyday this winter!

A Boost of Energy

When you're on the go, it can be tough to squeeze in snack breaks - sometimes you just don't have the time! But it's important to make sure you're recharging so you don't crash. Keep snacks in your purse so that even on your busiest days, you can give your body a little boost of energy. We suggest items that are easy to store, like granola bars, crackers, or Manuka Honey on the Go packs. Squeeze some Manuka Honey into your mouth for a sweet treat and instant energy boost!

Clean Up and Germ Supplies

There's nothing worse than being out and about, or in your car, and spilling something, or touching something that leaves your hands and maybe even clothes feeling dirty. It's always a good idea to keep wipes and extra napkins in your purse for these unexpected moments. If you are really accident-prone, you may even want to keep a stain-remover stick or wipes in your purse as well.

And, when it comes to keeping the germs at bay, right now especially, it's smart to have hand sanitizer (whether you prefer liquid, spray or gel form) and little bottles of disinfectant spray in your bag. If this past year has taught us anything, it's that you can never be too careful and clean!

Treats for the Kids

If you have kids, more than half of the contents in your purse are probably for them! Manuka Honey Pops are a great option to keep on hand to please the kids and earn yourself a little extra time in between the chorus of "are we done yet" and "can we go home now" your kids likely sing while you're out doing errands. Manuka Honey Pops come in three great flavors - raspberry, grape and orange. Get yourself a variety pack to switch things up!

Wallet and Receipt Organizer

Yes, we are in the 21st century, and perhaps you use digital payment options for many of your purchases, but, if you are someone that still carries physical cards and the occasional cash around, you want to have a good wallet. By good wallet, we mean one that has enough pockets for all your cards and cash, and is easy to open, close and find things in. You may even want a wallet with an extra pocket to hold onto important receipt, or, maybe you have an extra pocket or pouch in your purse designated for this.

Skin Care Essentials

Just like you'd keep bug spray and sunblock in your purse in the summer months, it's important to keep skincare essentials in your purse in the winter months, too. The cold and dry air is harsh on skin, so keep your favorite moisturizing lotion in your purse so you can use it throughout the day, especially after washing your hands - which you're likely doing quite often these days. Your hands aren't the only thing that may be dry and cracked this time of year. Your lips are probably feeling the damage of the winter temperatures, too. Wedderspoon Organic Manuka Honey Lip Balm nourishes and protects your lips. It's available in three great flavors - Peppermint, Lavender Lemon, and Coconut Lime. Stash one of these in your purse so you can keep your lips soft and smooth!

Pen and Paper

You never know how handy it is to keep a pen and piece of paper on you until....you need one and don't have one! A mini notebook and pen are great items to keep on hand and can come in handy in so many scenarios.

Spare Chargers

There is nothing worse than having your phone die while you're out of the house and not having a charger on you! Keep a charging cable in your purse, and, if you really want to be prepared, a battery pack as well. If you keep a battery pack on you, make sure you get into the habit of recharging it after using it so you're never caught with a dead phone battery AND a dead battery pack!
