There’s nothing better than enjoying a delicious, ice cold popsicle on a blazing hot day. Perhaps poolside, out on the porch, or even inside, in close proximity to an AC vent! Something about eating popsicles, even as an adult, can feel nostalgic and take you down memory lane to childhood summer days.
These days you can find popsicles in the grocery store in just about every shape, color, and flavor, but, many of them include artificial flavoring and colors on the ingredients list. Sure, popsicles shaped like cartoon characters are fun looking, but they’re not great for your body!
Popsicles are quite easy to make from scratch, and, you can find popsicle molds in all sorts of shapes, so, why not make your own! Making your own popsicles is cheaper and allows you to be in full control of the ingredients you’re using. To keep things interesting, you can switch up flavors and shapes, as well.
To show you just how simple it is to make your own popsicles, we have a great recipe to share. Our Kiwi & Honey Lemonade Pops are the perfect sweet and tangy treat for a hot summer day. They’re refreshing, delicious, and the sweetness level is easily adjusted for preference. What makes these pops even more refreshing is knowing that they’re made with only natural, healthy ingredients. These are a summer treat you can feel good about snacking on.
Keep a tray of freshly made pops in your freezer throughout the summer, or, save the recipe for a special occasion like a cookout or birthday party. This recipe is easy and not too messy to make, so it’s certainly something you can get the kids involved in helping with. Perhaps let them pick out popsicle molds of their choice and make a fun afternoon out of it.
Calling for just three ingredients (and water, which we won’t count), it doesn’t get any easier than this! Make some space in your freezer and read on for the full recipe.
If you love these pops as much as we suspect you will, try making them in other flavors too. Consider swapping out the kiwi for other fruits, like raspberries or blueberries, or, a mixture of them.
